Choose ONE of the following to complete. The project is due on November 15. 2016 and will be counted as a test grade. Late projects will not be accepted.
Illustrate a scene from the book and write a paragraph about that scene.
Write a news story about Brian’s adventure. (Minimum of four paragraphs)
Create a detailed map of Brian’s campsite and surrounding areas with an explanation of each area on a separate piece of paper.
Make a Power Point about the story with all the elements of plot. (minimum 5 slides)
Design a website about the book with all the elements of plot.
Design a new front and back cover with a summary of the book on the back.
Illustrate a chapter in comic book form on paper or on the computer with at least six frames.
Research game and edible plants available in the Canadian wilderness and create an informational poster.
Write a poem with a minimum of four stanzas and an illustration.

THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS: Final Project
Read all of the directions before you begin. Make sure you write the date this project is due in your agenda so you do not forget. This project is due
March 1, 2017. The project is worth a large test grade. Late assignments will not be accepted.
OBJECTIVE: Students will reflect on their reading, observations, and learning after finishing the book and watching the film.
MATERIALS: Types of materials are by student’s project choice.
PROCEDURES:
1. Select ONE of the following activities and complete.

3. The project will be counted as a TEST grade.
Choices
Design/write a graphic novel depicting the story of THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS. A graphic novel is a type of comic book usually with a lengthy and complex story line.
Compose a song expressing the views of one or more characters. Perform it or video it. Type the lyrics.
Write and perform a monologue (short speech) to deliver as one of the characters. Your monologue should convey a moral lesson that your character has learned.
Pick another book, movie, poem, etc. that centers on the theme of friendship and /or injustice and compare the two using a visual representation such as a chart, Venn diagram, or table.
Create a clever way to communicate the actual history of Poland and/or Germany during the 1940’s. Communicate your findings through a performance, visual display or a research paper.
Create a fictitious Instagram account for Bruno or Shmuel including places they visited, conversations they had and important events.Minimum 5 posts
Select a theme song for each of three characters that can be connected to the themes of friendship and injustice. Bring in music, lyrics, and a written explanation of your choices. Written explanations can be in the form of a paper or visual display.
Design a detailed billboard-like poster advertising the book. Include three or more characters, quotations, scenes, or moments that would make other students interested in reading this book.
Compose the front page of a newspaper that depicts four events in the story. Include headlines, graphics, and any other content that one might find on the front page of a newspaper.
Create a map of Bruno’s world. Include a detailed legend with at least 20 items included. Legend items should help us understand Bruno’s view of reality. Provide a written explanation.
Create a PowerPoint summarizing main points of the novel. Minimum of 10 slides.
